The Fernhill Co LTL Collection (Lighten The Load) was developed to maximize fun times when sessioning your favorite spots and trails. The less weight you have strapped to your body, the more freedom of movement you'll have. More importantly, less weight on your back means more fun riding your bike.
Why We Made It
You don't always need a fully loaded backpack when riding bike parks, the local flow trails, or trail rides. The essentials like a spare tube, tire levers, multi-tool, snacks, inflator/pump, are enough to get back down the hill.
By paring down trail essentials into a small frame bag and a waist pack, we've enhanced the riding experience so you can focus on the good times.
The Flow Finder Waist Pack
The Flow Finder is our holy grail of mountain biking waist packs. The problem with most waist packs is they don't have enough storage space, or they move around while riding. We designed the Flow Finder Waist Pack to address both these issues.
It's tall, low-profile design stays put even on the roughest trails and jumps, keeping items near your body and the weight close to your center of mass.
Eliminating the "swing" of the pack when railing turns, and the taller-than-most height also provides storage capacity. It was important for us to have the option to fit our mirrorless camera so we can record the good times... or tote several tall cans for the mid or post ride celebration.
Combined with our unique, non-patented Weight Belt Technology, (WBT) it creates stability while minimizing up-and-down movement of the pack, and hugs your body like a panda.
PALS webbing allows the attachment of MOLLE-compatible accessories for additional carry options and lash points.
The LTL Frame Bag
Seat Bags often interfere with dropper post operation. And strapping a tube to your bike can leave it exposed to dirt and grit, resulting in damage to the tube — which defeats the point of carrying it.
We created the LTL Frame Bag to protect and store a spare tube for trail riding emergencies. But if we were going to make something, it needed the capacity to hold riding essentials so we could simply go out and ride, knowing we had an emergency kit to finish the ride. Ideally, it would fit into the frame of our bike so we could strap it on and forget about it — until we needed it.
The LTL Frame Bag is capable of stowing a spare tube, tire levers, plugs, and a small multi-tool in its streamlined form.
Many frames lack the space to fit a bag, so we created the LTL Frame Bag in two sizes to fit a range of frame sizes and designs. Initially imagined to sit in the space behind the head tube, the bag can be mounted in any space you can find using the included hook and loop straps.
The newest edition of the frame bag features a durable, laser-cut TPU material and high-quality technical fabrics for improved durability and longevity. Like the original webbing, it encircles the bag for flexibility in mounting it. Not only is the X-Pac fabric waterproof, but it looks totally sweet. We also moved our branding to a removable patch that can be inverted so it's always facing the right direction, regardless of how and where you mount the bag. You can also remove it if you don't like branding, or get a patch custom-made for the ultimate in customization.
